Warhammer CE Sold Out! (possibly)

Okay, I’m not talking about the second, third and fourth big announcements to be released tomorrow by Mythic (following their name change to “Mythic and the Funkytown Groove”), but this little post I found on Evil Avatar:
Hey guys,
Jason from GoGamer. Hope you don’t mind the intrusion, I haven’t posted here in a while, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. IF you are interested in purchasing a CE of WAR, you must have your Pre-Order in by this coming Monday morning. All retailers will be pulling their listings for the CE and stop taking pre-orders for the CE first thing on Monday. Apparently, their 60K will all be sold-out by then.
So, if you would like to get your copy reserved you must do it this weekend. Of course, it would be nice if you placed a pre-order with us.
This is what EA has communicated to us and they say no more will be made available after release. Thought you guys should know.
Also, everyone who places a pre-order with us prior to Monday will receive their beta, head-start and in-game keys as normal.

I’m scouting around looking for verification on this, but the fact that there are some big announcements coming up makes me wonder if this might not be tied into it. And hey, what a scoop! Two scoops of speculation in every box of Syp’s Reckoning Bran.
IF this is true… is an announcement pending celebrating the big 60K sell-out? That the NDA is dropping/open beta unleashing/release date announcing?

I bet this is true… that way E3 at the EA presser they’ll announce WAR as sold out… brilliant marketing move and they can hold the few remaining (5-10k) units to flush out to retail…
and just for cred sake – Jason has been out and about in the community for several games in the past and he’s always been reliable…
Man I dropped teh ball this week. I haven’t heard anything about pending announcements for tomorrow @_@ but I’m excited to see whatever they might be.

Sounds like this is pretty much on the cards, and a good marketing move and announcement to make at E3. Now, 2 more announcements to hunt down. (ps. sometimes I hate being asleep when this all goes on!)

Depending on the country (of course), we are getting really close to selling out and in some cases, have already sold out. Sales are proceeding rather nicely and are tracking well ahead of schedule.
EA would have been thrilled if our sales had stopped at our figures from weeks ago but I was, surprisingly, the optimist and told them that we would come close to selling out by launch. It’s pretty hard to totally sell out (since people cancel) but that I believed we were going to get awfully close and we have.

60k copies? That really isn’t that much at all. Is that for just GoGamer.com or is that altogether?
Not to sound like a Gamestop pimp (actually I generally avoid them) but I pre-ordered the game online from them this morning and have already gotten my beta, early access and bonus item codes.
Figured it was worth mentioning since in the past getting these kinds of codes can end up becoming a real cluster-f*ck.
They also have a new deal, buy online and pickup at a local store. Save a bit on shipping that way, though there is still a handling charge.
